What do I need to start broadcasting online? You can start broadcasting online with just a computer and an internet connection. Then by using the right software (have a look here) you can connect to our servers and start broadcasting straight away. For profession stations we recommend the use of hardware audio to IP equipment such as the popular Barix Instreamer which will take your station's output and stream directly to our servers without the need for a dedicated computer. We can supply the Barix Instreamer or they can be purchased from most broadcast equipment suppliers. Can I offer my listeners on-demand content? Yes. You have FTP access to our servers for your AutoDJ content. There is also a folder for on-demand content which can be streamed to your listeners when they want to listen to them. Are you a reseller? No we are not a reseller, we run and maintain our own servers. Where are your servers located? All of our servers are located in London UK. Why don't you offer unlimited bandwidth packages? Bandwidth is expensive. Internet companies like us will usually buy bandwidth from our upstream provider in one of two ways.... a measured quantity of data with a fast connection or unlimited data through a slower connection. As we value speed so highly we have 1Gbs connections to all of our servers compared to 100Mbs or even 10Mbs connections that other providers use. This means that we put data limits on our hosting accounts, but we do believe that the limits are very generous, and should you find your site reaches your data limit you can always upgrade to the next level of hosting or purchase more data on it's own. Some hosting providers will advertise unlimited bandwidth but will cancel your account if you start using huge amounts of bandwidth, and inform you of their fair use policy. We don't believe in advertising unlimited bandwidth then hiding behind a fair use policy when you try to make use of it, we believe in being open and fair with our customers. That is why we offer a generous amount of bandwidth and we're open about everything from the start. Is there a minimum term contract? There is no minimum contract, just let us know 30 days before you want to close your account with us. Can I have a free trial? If you want a no obligation free trial please contact us and will be happy to sort it out for you. I can't see a package that exactly suits my needs. No problem, whether you need something smaller or something bigger, or just different please contact us and we'll build you a custom package for the best possible price. Do you accept payment in other currencies? Our base prices are in Pounds but you can select to pay in Euros or Dollars on the order form.
