Welcome to Hippynet Cloud Compressor — a professional multiband audio processor for your Icecast streams. This guide will walk you through getting up and running in just a few minutes.

Step 1: Log In

Open the login URL provided in your welcome email and sign in with your email address and password. We recommend changing your password after your first login — click your name in the top-right corner and select Change Password.

Step 2: Connect Your Input Stream

At the top of the rack you'll see the Decoder unit. Click the settings button and enter your Icecast source URL. This is the stream you want to process — for example, http://your-icecast-server:8000/source.

Step 3: Configure an Output Encoder

At the bottom of the rack you'll see the Encoder unit with three independent outputs. Click the settings button on Encoder 1 and enter your output Icecast server details:

  • Host — your output Icecast server hostname
  • Port — usually 8000
  • Mount — the mount point (e.g. /live)
  • Password — your Icecast source password
  • Format — MP3, OGG, or AAC
  • Bitrate — 48 to 320 kbps
  • Channels — Stereo or Mono

Step 4: Start Processing

Press the power button in the Master section. The status LCD will show STARTING while the audio processor initialises (this takes a few seconds), then switch to RUNNING.

You should see the input VU meters react to your audio, the spectrum analyser display your frequency content, and the encoder VU meters show your output levels.

Step 5: Tune Your Sound

You can start with a factory preset — choose from Broadcast Radio, Podcast, Music Stream, Heavy Compression, or Flat in the presets panel. Then fine-tune the 5-band compressor and other processing to taste.

All changes take effect in real-time — no need to restart the processor.
