Processor won't start / shows ERR
- Check that your input URL is configured in the Decoder settings
- Check that at least one encoder is enabled and has host, port, and mount configured
- Verify your input stream is actually online and accessible from the internet
- Try stopping and starting again — the first start after a configuration change can take 15-20 seconds
No audio on input meters
- Check that your source stream is sending audio (test by playing it in a media player)
- Verify the input URL is correct and uses the full path including mount point
- Make sure the stream is publicly accessible — internal/private network addresses are not supported
No audio on output / encoder LED is red or off
- Check the encoder settings — host, port, mount, and password must all be correct
- Verify your output Icecast server is running and accepting source connections
- Check that the mount point isn't already in use by another source
- Try a different format or bitrate — some Icecast servers may not support all codecs
Audio sounds distorted
- Check the input meters — if they're constantly in the red, your source is clipping. Enable the Declipper or reduce levels at your source
- Check the gain reduction display — if compression is very deep (more than 10-15 dB), try raising the thresholds or lowering the ratios
- Check the master gain — if it's too high, the limiter and clipper will be working hard
- Try loading the Flat preset to bypass all processing and confirm the issue is in your processing, not the source
Audio cuts out briefly then reconnects
A brief interruption (1-2 seconds) is normal when changing settings that require a processor restart, including:
- Input URL
- Any encoder setting (host, port, mount, password, format, bitrate, channels)
- ICY metadata relay toggle
All other settings (compressor, EQ, processing controls) update in real-time without interruption.

Listeners hear silence when the compressor restarts
If your input and output streams are on the same Icecast server, you can avoid this by setting up a fallback mount. Configure your output mount to fall back to your input mount — that way, listeners automatically receive the original unprocessed audio during any brief compressor restarts, rather than silence. See the Configuring Encoder Outputs article for setup instructions.
Meters are not updating
- Check that the processor is running (status should show RUNNING)
- Try refreshing the page — the WebSocket connection to the metering service may have disconnected
- Check your internet connection — the meters require a stable connection to stream data in real-time
