cPanel supports CalDAV (calendars) and CardDAV (contacts) protocols, allowing you to sync calendars and address books between your server and your devices or email clients.

Please note: Screens and options may vary slightly depending on your cPanel version and hosting plan.

Accessing CalDAV/CardDAV Settings

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. In the Email section, click Calendars and Contacts.
  3. cPanel will display the URLs you need to configure your devices and applications.

The typical URLs are:

| Service | URL | |---------|-----| | CalDAV (Calendar) | https://yourdomain.com:2083/cpsess##/3rdparty/davical/caldav.php/username/ | | CardDAV (Contacts) | https://yourdomain.com:2083/cpsess##/3rdparty/davical/caldav.php/username/addresses/ |

The exact URLs are shown in the cPanel interface. Copy them from there for accuracy.

Setting Up on Your Devices

iOS (iPhone/iPad):

  1. Go to Settings > Calendar (or Contacts) > Accounts > Add Account > Other.
  2. Choose Add CalDAV Account or Add CardDAV Account.
  3. Enter the server URL from cPanel, your email username, and password.
  4. Tap Next and save.

macOS:

  1. Open System Settings > Internet Accounts > Add Other Account.
  2. Select CalDAV Account or CardDAV Account.
  3. Enter the server, username, and password.

Thunderbird (with SOGo Connector or TbSync):

  1. Install the TbSync add-on and the Provider for CalDAV & CardDAV add-on.
  2. Add a new CalDAV/CardDAV account with the URLs from cPanel.

Android:

  1. Install a CalDAV/CardDAV sync app (e.g. DAVx5 from the Play Store).
  2. Add an account using the server URLs from cPanel.
  3. Select the calendars and address books to sync.

Tips

  • CalDAV/CardDAV availability depends on your hosting provider's server configuration. If the option is not visible in cPanel, contact your hosting provider.
  • Use the same email credentials (full email address and password) for authentication.
  • For most users, webmail-based calendar and contacts within Roundcube may be sufficient without additional setup.
